Things to Remember when Making Your Presentation
- You don't have to be great or perfect to succeed.
- You can't (nor should you try to) please everyone.
- Be yourself. Don't try to be someone you aren't.
- The audience is your friend. They are there to listen to you, not to heckle you.
- The audience wants you to succeed. It wants to bathe in your success.
- The judges are neutral. They are neither for nor against you.
- The judges want you to succeed. A judge would not be a judge if he or she didn't enjoy seeing students do well.
- The judges aren't frowning because they dislike you. They are frowning because they are listening to you seriously.
